When I thought about starting this blog, I knew my first post had to be about my love for NYX Cosmetics. The day NYX Cosmetics landed in Priceline stores was a very good day indeed. It’s comparable to one of the days where you remember exactly where you were and what you were doing. Okay, maybe an exaggeration, but nonetheless, it was a really good day guys.
I’ve tried and tested a range of high end and drugstore cosmetics in my time and I’m convinced NYX is just the best all-rounder. It’s not only affordable but the products deliver, which for me, is a dream combo. Now, let’s delve into a few of my top picks of the NYX range.
Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette
Firstly, let me tell you about my love affair with the NYX Strobing Palette. I’m the biggest fan of the strobing trend. When done well, hitting your high points with some shine provides a super pretty glow that beautifully reflects the light. Especially in summer, highlighting my cheek bones is my favourite look. I love to keep it simple and minimal with a beautiful dewy make up look, no eye makeup and highlight turned to max teamed with a nude lip. It’s definitely my ‘signature’ look and one I post photos of a lot.
Matte Lip Creams
The $$ and the quality of this product is tops in my book. There are a large range of colours, the formula is creamy and easy to apply. It’s not as long lasting as I would like, but it does a pretty good job given the price point. Some of my favourite shades to rock are Antwerp, Abu Dhabi and Stockholm.
High Definition Blush
Prior to picking this up in a Priceline sale, I didn’t really wear blush. There wasn’t a particular reason why, I just didn’t. But since buying this, I am now addicted to wearing blush. This blush is so pigmented and sits so beautifully over makeup. I am loving the shade ‘Summer’ at the moment. A lot of product does go onto the applicator, so just be sure to tap that product off real good so you aren’t like looking like a clown.
Thank you for reading beauties.
