I was so generously gifted three beautiful Napoleon goodies from the fab online store RY.com.au. I have dabbled in some Napoleon products before and feel, despite it is an Australian makeup brand, it’s not highly rated here in Australia. I could be wrong, but I think this brand always seems to slip under the radar on its own shores. In the spirit of putting it back in the spotlight, let me tell you my thoughts on the products I have tried and tested over the last month.
Devine Goddess Lipsticks ‘Andromeda”
I have purchased a few of these lippies in the past and this shade has definitely reignited my love for this formula. ‘Andromeda’ is absolutely gorgeous and the formula is without a doubt creamy, hydrating and packed with pigment. The lipstick glides on with ease, is super buildable and leaves a nice stain to the lips throughout wear (eating/drinking etc.). The hippie contains herbal extracts and antioxidants to care for your pout which explains the creaminess that provides a satin finish. This gets a big thumbs up from me and is always my go-to when rushing to work or out the door for a no fuss application that finishes my look perfectly.
Mosaic Bronzing Powder
I have one love when it comes to bronzing powders and that’s the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in ‘Give Me Sun’ and I rarely stray from that. But in the name of beauty blogging and reporting back to you guys I did. I have been using this bronzer to contour with for over a month now and find myself reaching for it daily and can’t say I’ve been missing my usual bronzer, which say’s a lot.
This mosaic like pattern is made up of a few shimmery squares, but don’t let that put you off using it to contour. The bronzer is a matte finish which makes for a perfect contour shade. The shade is a little on the more orange side, so if you are more pale, I’m not sure it will suit. I do prefer a more orange contour shade so it suits me down to a tee. It provides a really beautiful sun kissed glow and warms up my face perfectly.
This is perfect for bronzing up your cheeks, forehead and any other areas you want, including the neck. Bronze away my beauties…
Auto Pilot Pre-foundation Primer
This guy is used after your moisturiser and before foundation as the title suggests.
Now i know everyone has heard of this primer, it’s definitely a cult classic in the makeup world and has been for years. So there’s no doubt I absolutely loved!! The formula smells great, the texture is silky smooth, very hydrating and super lightweight. This is my first time using it and I’m hooked. The primer absorbs quickly and leaves your face feeling extremely moisturised and well prepped for your base foundation. It’s not however going to fill in any fine lines or diminish larger pores, so keep in mind.
In the wise words of Napoleon himself, it’s a crime not to prime ladies!!
I hope you enjoyed my review of these three products, let me know your favourite Napoleon products down below or any questions you have!!
