Tsok Cosmetics: Makeup Brush Review

Despite my love for makeup, until a few weeks ago I did not have a full set of matching makeup brushes. I really didn’t know what I was missing out on until this 9-piece set landed at Victoria’s Beauty Edit HQ (lol just my house).

But seriously, if you apply makeup everyday, you need to change your life with a full set of makeup brushes. I have been trialling the Tsok Cosmetics makeup brushes for a while now and I am in love. Firstly, the sleek silver, black and white design of the brushes is so eye catching, and let’s be honest, when it comes to makeup, looks are everything!!

What sets these brushes apart from others is the unique numbering system used on each brush. This is oh so handy, especially if you are a newbie to makeup application or need a quick reminder as to what brush is used for face, eyes or contour.

Let me run you through the brushes, their purpose and how I like to use them:

The countour brush is my absolute number one. I love the shape of this contour brush, it is absolutely perfect and works to apply product to the hollows of the cheeks with precision. The tapered and finer tip really helps to make contouring that much easier. The tapered end means the brush can also be used to apply highlighter to the bridge of your nose, cheekbones and the top of your cupid’s bow.

Rounded Kabuki Brush 10:01

This large fluffy brush can be used to apply finishing powder to the flatter areas of your face such as cheeks and forehead, and works to apply the product evenly.

Rounded Socket Brush 12:12

This brush is my second love of the set as the small, more dense tip makes it absolutely perfect for applying and blending that inner corner shade or blending shades together seamlesselly.

Shadow Crease Blender Brush 12:10

Perfect for blending shades in the crease of your lid! I also love to use this clean to really blend and soften eyeshadow lines.

Direct Pigment Brush 12:13

As the name suggest, this guy is perfect for packing on loose pigments to your lid without extreme fallout being an issue.

Stippling Foundation Rush 10:02

This brush can be used to apply liquid and cream foundation products to the face and the soft nature of the fibres ensures a beautiful and smooth application of your base.

Concealer Brush 10:05

This flat brush works to apply concealer anywhere on your face. The flat and tapered head also applies concealer well under the eyes (Middle brush in the below image).

Eye Line Spooly Brush 12:19

Is there anything better than a brush that is a 2-in-1. You can use the spooly end of the brush to blend product through your brows and the opposite end to blend shadows or liner to your upper or lower lash line or to apply liquid eye liner with precision (top brush in the above image).

Smoky Eye Shader Brush 12:09

The small and more compact head of this brush makes it a dream for packing on eyeshadow all over the lid (left of the above image).

You can get your set or buy the brushes individually here.

Thank you for reading beauties!

Love

This brush set was provided to me in exchange for a review, but as always my opinions are 100% honest.
