I realise it’s been a while between blogs. It’s been a busay few months full of things and stuff, you know what I mean.
Anyways, since I’m here I thought I would share with you my review of the HiSmile Teeth Whitening Kit, which was sent to me a little while ago now. So HiSmile reached out to me and I don’t usually say yes to these products, mainly because I am level 10 lazy when it comes to using something like this consistently, but I set myself the challenge for you guys!!
If you didn’t know, HiSmile have been making some serious waves in the pool that is the teeth whitening biz, mainly because they paid Kylie Jenner a bus load of money to promote it…sadly, said bus full of money did not turn up at my door haha (This is not a paid post gals and guys). This ingenious marketing ploy has definitely seen the owners of HiSmile hit the big time with their sales, I guess there is nothing like a Kardashian/Jenner to really sell your product. BUT, the question still remains, is it worth spending your hard earned cash on?!?
First of all, let me break down what was included in the HiSmile Kit I received:
- LED Light;
- 3 x HiSmile Gels;
- Plastic Mouth Tray; and
- Results guide & instruction manual
You can buy this kit for $79.99 here and it does include everything you need to be on the path to pearly whites.
The instruction manual is definitely easy to follow and is essentially an easy three-step process. 1, 2, 3 and wallah! Your teeth should appear whiter after consistent use for 6 days (using once or twice a day).
- Brush your teeth;
- Insert the gel into the mouth tray;
- Attach the LED light to the mouth tray;
- Pop into your mouth for 10 minutes (press the button on the LED light to start the 10 minute timer and turn the blue LED light ON – the light will automatically turn off after 10 minutes);
- Rinse your mouth when the light goes off after 10 minutes.
See, I told you…easy right!!
After a bit of research, one of the most interesting facts I discovered about this particular teeth whitening formula that may set it apart from the rest, is the fact that the HiSmile formula is peroxide-free. Peroxide is the ingredient that can make your teeth and gums super super sensitive after using whitening products. I have tried one other brand similar to this that did make my teeth very sensitive, however, I experienced no sensitivity with HiSmile. HiSmile uses sodium bicarbonate instead, which I also read is very bad for the enamel on your teeth after very prolonged use. The recommended usage is 6 days, I do not believe it is intended to be used every single day so would follow those instructions.
So drum roll please…did I like this product? I do, I think it’s a really easy and affordable way to see a difference in your pearly whites. I had somewhat white teeth to begin with, so the changes weren’t all that noticeable for me. It was very slight, but still there. Whether the difference is easier to see if your teeth don’t start out as white, I really am not sure. But I really do think for the price point and effort involved, it’s definitely worth a go!! I mean professional teeth whitening is thousands of dollars, so this is no doubt the first step you should take if you want whiter teeth.
Here is a little after shot. I used the kit consistently for 6 days, occasionally using twice a day.
Thank you for reading beauties and do let me know if you have any questions in the comments.
Lots of love.
