When it comes to finding the perfect fitting jean, it’s a tough one. A really tough one! Am I right? I can’t even tell you the amount of times I have bought jeans only to get home or have them for a few months and realise I HATE them. They are either too long (short gal probs!), too tight, too low rise…the list can go on as to why I hate more than 5 pairs of jeans I have in my wardrobe.
The straight leg cut is the jean of the season and there’s a damn good reason why! This style is sitting pretty in the jean throne because of it’s versatility. I love to style them up with a cute pair of heels & a blazer or a heeled boot, but also love to throw on a white sneaks/sandals and a cute tee.
I opted for a style that really lengthened my legs,a mid-waist (you can go high too baby!), & a close fit around my bottom and thighs which I find super flattering.
My top tips for buying denim:
- Go mid to high-waist. Why did anyone ever wear low rise jeans? That’s all I have to say on that one.
- Be open minded and sleep on it. I have definitely made the mistake when I have tried jeans on once in the shop, thought I loved them to only get them home and HATE them.
- Look for a good stretch and keep to good quality denim.
- Don’t buy jeans that are too tight. Are you jumping around for 30 mins and have to seriously SUCK IN to get the buttons done up….don’t do that to yourself. Buy a jean with a good memory (the denim snaps back after a wash/wear basically). Make sure they are firm on your body.

Love these jeans and agree low rise should never have happened
Thank you!!! I couldn’t agree more 🙂
